Privacy statement

This is the privacy notice for book.fretboardfoundation.com, the online edition of the Fretboard Foundation book. It’s a companion to the main Fretboard Foundation site and is covered by the same Fretboard Foundation Privacy Policy. This page explains what that means for this site specifically.

This site does not track you.

• No analytics or tracking tools. This site uses no analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking of any kind.
• No cookies from us. It’s a static site; it sets no cookies of its own and asks you for no personal information.
• No account, no sign-up. You can read the entire book without identifying yourself.

A note on recent changes. Earlier versions of this site included third-party analytics (Google Analytics and PostHog) and a ConvertKit page for downloading the book as a PDF. We’ve removed the analytics and taken down the ConvertKit signup, to bring this site in line with the privacy commitments in our main Privacy Policy.

What still happens at the infrastructure level. Like any website, this site is served by hosting providers that automatically process basic technical request data (such as your IP address) in order to deliver pages and keep the site secure. We don’t use this data to build profiles or for advertising.

• Cloudflare provides content delivery and security, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie — see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Links to the main site. If you follow a link to fretboardfoundation.com — for example, to subscribe to the newsletter — that activity is governed by the main Privacy Policy, which also covers your choices and rights and how to contact us.
